Homemade missiles intercept cruise missile targets

According to a report by the CCTV an antiaircraft brigade of the Beijing Military Area succeeded in raising its informatization combat capability in the process of informatization construction. The report says that during its first test to intercept cruise missile targets with homemade missiles the brigade fired ten missile and they all hit their targets.

To counter moves such as the intrusion of hostile aircrafts and attack by cruise missiles they carried out all-dimensional defense within territorial airspace during drill. The moment an order was given all radars of the combat forces began to search for targets. All types of artilleries and air defense weapons were ready for combat and formed a three dimensional defense in the air. This was the first time homemade missiles were used to intercept cruise missile targets and all ten missiles found their targets.
