According to PD report from Beijing on 11 May, a full-length TV serial "Lancang - Mekong Rivers" is going to be shot soon with the joint investment by the State TV Stations of the six Asian countries.
Zhang Changming, deputy director of the CCTV signed the draft framework agreement together with the deputy directors of the TV stations of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in the evening of May 11 in Beijing, aiming at working out jointly a full-length humane-geographical documentary that reflects the natural resources, economy, culture and religion and the life and social situation at present along the Lancang �C Mekong Rivers.As learned, the full-length documentary is going to be shot and brought out with the digital high clarity visual technology. Consisting of 20 sequels with each to last 50 minutes and the total length is to continue for 1000 minutes. According to plan, the TV serial is going to be completed before the end of 2007 and to be shown simultaneously at golden hours in all major TV channels.
