4 unstable factors in economic operation curbed

At the 2nd Industrial and Commercial Consultant Meeting of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Organization 2005 held on Wednesday Zhu Zhixin, deputy director-general of the State Development and Reform Commission expressed that the four major unhealthy and unstable factors in the economic operation in China have got contained.

As Zhu Zhixin introduced, first of all, the downfall tendency in grain cultivation and output has been checked; and secondly, the overgrowth of the investment in fixed assets, especially the blind expansion in some sectors has got contained. Aside from these, the fast growth of credit money and abusive take-over of arable land once for a time in prevalence has been reined.

Though the outstanding contradiction in the economic operation at present has got alleviated yet the base remains unstable, expressed Zhu Zhixin. Particularly, it is very difficult to get the grain output and farmers' income further increased while the pressure for the comeback of the investment in fixed-assets is still hanging overhead with the contradiction in cutting down resources consumption looming larger daily. And moreover, the unreasonable economic structure, the unrefined way and imperfect mechanism for economic growth, the deep-rooted contradiction in the social-economic development still haven't got radically solved.
