Pakistan hopes US to improve its image in Islamic world
font size

Pakistani Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Thursday said the United States should improve its image in the Islamic world keeping in view the feelings of Muslims about its policies, the official news agency Associated Press of Pakistan reported.

Talking to newsmen in Rawalpindi, the sister city of Islamabad, Rashid said the Americans should have more awareness about Islamic values and sentiments.

He said this as a response to a question about a derogatory cartoon published in Washington Times on Pakistan's role in the war against terrorism.

Pakistan had expressed its condemnation on this issue and asked for an inquiry to be conducted to know the motives behind the cartoon.
