More than 600 journalists, including some 250 from overseas and 350 at home, have registered to report the upcoming three-day Fortune Global Forum scheduled to open on May 16, the forum news center said here on Friday.

According to the updated statistics from the center, 586 foreign delegates from 89 of the world's top 500 companies, and 211 Chinese delegates including 30 from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan have registered to attend the forum.

The annual forum, initiated by US-based Fortune magazine in 1995, is a summit dialogue between economists and entrepreneurs around the globe.

This forum will be the ninth session and the third one held in China with two previous sessions held in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
