Coach of the Chilean national soccer team Nelson Acosta summoned players for the World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Venezuela in the South American zone for Germany 2006.
On the list there are players who had not been considered by his predecesor Juvenal Olmos.
The rooster, almost exclusively formed by players of the local league, counts with the presence of important figures of the Under-23 national team who participated in the South American Pre-Olympic Tournament 2004, namely midfielders Luis Pedro Figueroa and Rodrigo Millar, and striker Jose Luis Villanueva.
Acosta also recalled national team full-backs Marcos Gonzalez and Waldo Ponce, and included several rookies, like defender Hugo Droguett, midfielders Marco Millape, Jose Luis Jerez and Nelson Pinto, plus strikers Humberto Suazo, Cristian Canio and Eduardo Rubio.
From foreign leagues, he also summoned up strikers Sebastian Gonzalez and Patricio Galaz, from Atlante (Mexico).
