font size

Gunmen killed a senior Iraqi Foreign Ministry official in western Baghdad on Saturday, police said.

Jassim al-Muhammadawy, director general of administration in the ministry, was shot in front of his house, while three bystanders were wounded in the attack. Insurgents have mounted attacks over the past few weeks to try to cripple the country's new government.
