font size

China's 56.56 billion USD of imports and 60.51 billion USD of exports of hi-tech products for the first 4 months of the year represent the country's 7-months long trade surplus on hi-tech products since October last year.

The hi-tech foreign trade from January to April posted a year-on-year rise of 26.8 percent. The hi-tech exports went up faster than the imports by 12 percent. The hi-tech trade surplus totaled more than 3.9 billion USD for the first 4 months.

The growth of the foreign trade on hi-tech products outraced the country's total foreign trade by 3 percentage points in April. The hi-tech exports accounted for 27.8 percent of the total exports for the first 4 months.

35.38 billion USD, or 58.5 percent of hi-tech exports, came from integrated circuit, color TV, mobile phones, and automatic data processing equipment. They have won larger orders at higher prices.
