| Taiwan fruits arrive in Fujian |

 Quarantine officials examine mangos from Taiwan at the Mawei port in Fuzhou, East China's Fujian Province May 15, 2005. A batch of 33 tons of fruits inlcuding mango, lemon, banana, etc arrived at the port in the morning that day. This is the first batch of fruit from Taiwan since the Kuomintang (KMT) chairman Lien Chan and the People First Party (PFP) chairman James CY Soong's visit to the Chinese mainland. The fruits will make debut at the 7th cross-straits trade fair that is to open on May 18, 2005.
