Pakistan has made a significant dent in the network of terrorists by arresting senior al-Qaeda leader Abu Faraj al-Libbi and his associates, Pakistani Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao said here on Monday
"During investigation, we have also found some clues from him which would help apprehend other terrorists," Sherpao told reporters here.
The interior minister denied US media reports that a senior al- Qaeda man was killed when a missile was fired from an unmanned CIA drone in the Pakistani tribal region along the border with Afghanistan.
"No such incident has taken place on Pakistani soil," he noted.
Al-Libbi, believed to be the third important leader of al-Qaeda, was netted by Pakistani security forces earlier this month.
His arrest was expected to find some clues about whereabout of Osarma bin Laden, but seemed no help so far.
However, his arrest did help to destroy the terrorist network within Pakistan.
So far, Pakistani security forces have conducted several operations and captured dozens of terrorists following the arrest of al-Libbi.
