Chinese vice-premier leaves for visit to Japan

Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Yi left Beijing Tuesday morning to attend the China Day held in Aichi Expo 2005 and pay a visit to Japan at the invitation of the Japanese government.

Wu is expected to exchange views with the Japanese leaders on issues of common concern during the visit which will run through May 24, sources with the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.

Following her Japan visit, Wu will pay an official visit to Mongolia from May 24 to 26 at the invitation of the Mongolian government.
