International Soft China 2005, the ninth China international software expo, will be held at China International Exhibition Center in Beijing from June 14 to 16.

Beijing municipal government, the sponsor for the event for the first time, will especially set up a hall for Beijing.

Besides, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission will hold two forums, a summit forum on the industry's development with the theme of "independent innovation promotes building information society" and a forum on technologies of software engineering focused on the development of software industry and the transformation of the means of production of software".

Officials of the municipal government will further elaborate the innovation strategies and action plan for the development of the software industry of Beijing.
