Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, met with Romano Prodi, former president of the European Union Commission.

Wang told Prodi, who is also former Italian Prime Minister, that China will strive to push forward Sino-EU relations and enhance cooperation with Italy in all fields.

Prodi said that he will further promote EU-China and Italy- China exchange and dialogue in all fields.
