Chi Shangbin has been sacked as the head coach of Shenzhen Jianlibao following a series of poor results of the Super-League team, the club said on Tuesday.

Shenzhen has yet to win a match this season since Chi took charge in February. The reigning champion is now rooted at the bottom of the 14-team league.

Chi, 56, had a successful coaching spell in Dalian Shide during1995-1997 when he guided the northeast Chinese club to two straight league titles.

The former Chinese international had previously coached severalother domestic sides.
