US First Lady Laura Bush will visit Jordan, Israel and Egypt from May 19-24, White House spokesman Scott McClellan said at a briefing on Tuesday.
"Mrs. Bush this Thursday will head to Jordan, Israel and Egypt. She will deliver remarks at the World Economic Forum in Jordan. This trip is from May 19th to 24th," McClellan said.
"The trip is an opportunity for Mrs. Bush to reinforce our commitment to promote freedom and supporting women and girls across the Middle East. It will highlight our commitment to working together with the people of the Middle East to build a better future," the spokesman said.
Laura Bush visited Afghanistan in March.
