Bank of China (BOC), a leading Chinese commercial bank that will soon go public, announced Sunday that it will recruit internationally to fill 25 high-level positions.

The deadline for the application is June 15, according to BOC Spokesman Wang Zhaowen. Positions include 12 departmental heads at the BOC Headquarters and leaders of two provincial-level branches

It is the second time for BOC to recruit worldwide for senior personnel. Last year, it hired a number of senior managing staffs, including heads of provincial branches of Gansu and Hainan provinces and Hong Kong.

BOC wants to show its determination and vigor for accelerating its reform and development, by introducing excellent professionals from home and abroad, Wang said. Beginning last year, the bank launched a series of internal reforms in preparation for the planned international listing.
