China will further relations with Latvia: FM

Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing said in Beijing on Monday that China attaches importance to relations with Latvia and will strive to further promote the all-round development of bilateral relations under new situation.

Li told visiting Latvian Foreign Minister Artis Pabriks that Sino-Latvian relations witnessed smooth development since the two countries normalized diplomatic ties.

Artis Pabriks said that the Latvian government will unswervingly adhere to the one-China policy and enhance cooperation in all fields.

The two foreign ministers also discussed international and regional issues of common concern and signed an agreement on diplomatic document cooperation, according to sources with the Foreign Ministry.
