Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan said in Beijing Monday China is satisfied with the smooth progress of relations with Latvia and is ready to work with Latvia to boost bilateral ties.

The Chinese side thanked the Latvian government for its consistent adherence to the one-China policy and its support to China's efforts in realizing national reunification, Tang said during a meeting with Latvian Foreign Minister Artis Pabriks.

Pabriks said Latvia will remain committed to the one-China policy and wants to improve mutually-beneficial cooperation with China.
