font size

The composite consumer price index (CPI) of China's Macao Special Administrative Region rose 3.22 percent in the first four months over the same period of last year, official statistics showed Tuesday.

Figures from the Statistics and Census Service showed the CPI for April was 96.67, down 0.19 percent, compared with the previous month.

The statistics attributed the slight decrease to the falling prices of fresh vegetables and air tickets.

For the 12 months ended in this April, the average composite CPI rose 2.22 percent over the previous period.
