Northwest China border city to host commodity fair in Pakistan
font size

Kashi, a border city in southwestern part of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, northwest China, will host a 4-day export commodity fair in Karachi, Pakistan on June 24.

An official with the Kashi prefectural foreign trade and economic cooperation bureau said the fair will be held with the joint efforts of the Xinjiang regional bureau of foreign trade and economic cooperation.

"Via the fair, we hope to make Kashi known in South and Central Asia, encourage more local businesses to go out for cooperation and promote exchange," said the official.

He said Kashi is positioned to become a regional commodity and logistics center.

He added that they have sent 1,000 letters to Chinese and overseas businesses, inviting them to attend the fair.
