Macao embraces 1.5 mln visitors in April

Macao Special Administrative Region recorded 1,493,6921 visitors in April, official statistic showed on Tuesday.

The figures from Macao's Statistics and Census Service indicated that the number of visitor arrivals in the month represented a year-on-year increase of 10.2 percent.

Compared with April last year, the number of visitors from China 's mainland and Taiwan increased 13.8 percent and 19.1 percent, respectively, while the number of those from Hong Kong decreased 3.3 percent, the figures showed. Among the visitors from China's mainland, 47.9 percent traveled to Macao under the individual visit scheme, according to the official statistics.
