Congress of Chinese Young Pioneers to open soon

The Fifth National Congress of the Chinese Young Pioneers is scheduled to convene in Beijing from June 1 to 3, said Zhang Xiaolan, a member of the Secretariat of the Chinese Communist Youth League (CCYL) Central Committee, Tuesday.

Delegates will attend a pigeon-releasing ceremony at the Century Altar in central Beijing on May 31. A series of ceremonies will also be held on the Tian'anmen Square on June 1, Children's Day.

More than 300 delegates will represent all the Chinese young pioneers from across the country.

Young pioneers in China are well-performed primary school students.
