font size

The European Commission, the executive arm of the European Union (EU), said on Wednesday in Brussels that it would launch formal consultation with China on two categories of textile products.

A spokesman for the Commission said a deal was likely to be reached by the end of this month.

The spokesman told reporters that EU and China had a " constructive" negotiation on this issue and the talks would go through the week if necessary.
