The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) textile trade symposium opens Wednesday in the city of Ningbo, east China's Zhejiang Province.
Cosponsored by the APEC and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the symposium is held mainly to discuss and analyze the prospects of APEC's textile and clothing trade.
About 190 delegates and from the 21 APEC member countries and guests from other countries attended the two-day symposium.
The United States launched its blocking procedures to China's textile after the world textile quotas were canceled.
Under this background, the symposium will focus on how to deal with the conflicts among APEC countries in the textile fields and achieve a win-win situation, said an official with the organizing committee.
The APEC member countries has 45 percent of the world's population, producing world's 55 percent gross national products ( GNP).
