font size

324 of the 6,818 projects approved since 2004 have been rejected by Dalian city in northeast China's Liaoning Province for failure to meet the requirements on environmental protection.

According to the monitoring by environmental protection departments, in 2004, 87 percent, up from 58 percent, of the city has reached the standard of environmental noise and the water quality in all functional water areas has met the standard.
