Nanjing simplifies procedures for Taiwan-bound travels
font size

As exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits grow increasingly frequent Jiangsu has become one of the provinces with the most Taiwan businessmen and the most numerous mainlanders traveling to Taiwan for business and family visit. The frontier inspection departments in Nanjing have adopted corresponding measures to simplify procedures for exchanges between the two sides.

According to reports since Lien and Soong's successful visits to the mainland in mid May the frontier bureau of the Ministry of Public Security has issued circulars on simplifying procedures so as to implement the policy of facilitating exchange between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits. The frontier inspection station in Nanjing attaches great importance to it and takes prompt action to carry out the document. It has made serious research on questions that may arise following the procedure simplification and search solutions to them; strived to erect a convenient and speedy channel for the people-to-people exchange between the two sides.

With key activities such as the Tenth National Games, Golden Autumn Economic and Trade Fair and Key Projects Fair are held in Jiangsu the frontier inspection station in Nanjing, while doing a good job in frontier inspection service for the Taiwan compatriots, will launch a series of high-quality and facilitating measures and strive to further raise the speed of passing through the customs.
