Croatian PM starts visit to northwest China city
font size

Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader left Beijing for Xi'an, the capital of northwestern Shaanxi Province, to go on with his five-day official visit to China.

While in Beijing, Prime Minister Sanader had met with Chinese President Hu Jintao and held talks with Premier Wen Jiabao. Sanader and Wen signed a joint statement, announcing the establishment of a comprehensive cooperative partnership between the two countries.

The Croatian prime minister brings with him a large business delegation to China with members from Croatian oil, steel, banking and food sectors.

After his trip to Xi'an, Sanader will also travel to Shanghai. This is Sanader's first trip to China after his assumption of the prime minister's office in December 2003.
