Coal mine accident traps 12 in E. China Province

Twelve miners were trapped in a coal mine accident in Longyan City, of east China's Fujian Province, at around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, said local police.

Water leaked into a pit of Chikeng coal mine located in Longyan's Xinluo District and no casualties were reported by press time.

Local rescuers were working at site and the causes of the accident being investigated.
