Croatian PM visits Xi'an

Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader arrived in Xi'an, the capital of northwestern Shaanxi Province, on Saturday for the second leg of his China visit.

While meeting with Shaanxi provincial governor, Chen Deming, Sanader said Croatia will enhance trade and economic cooperation with Xi'an since the ancient city enjoys a well-developed industry.

The Croatian prime minister brings with him a large business delegation with members from oil, steel, banking and food sectors.

Chen briefed Sanader on Shaanxi's development in aircraft making, aviation, space industries, and said the two sides could conduct cooperation in various sectors.

This is Sanader's first trip to China after became prime minister in December 2003.
