font size

A Chinese photo exhibition, organized to mark the golden jubilee anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China, concluded Monday in Bhairahawa city near Lumbini town, the birthplace of Lord Buddha.

A total of 245 photographs were on display in the three-day- long exhibition organized by Nepal-China Friendship Society Lumbini, a non-governmental organization.

"The photo exhibition is organized for the first time near the birthplace of Lord Buddha," said Narayan Sapkota, secretary general of the friendship society.

Speaking on the inauguration last Saturday, Shi Xuanzhong, chief monk of the Chinese Buddhist Vihara situated at Lumbini Bhikshu, shed light on Lord Gautam Buddha's contribution to human welfare and peace throughout the world.

Bhairahawa city is 30 km east of Lumbini town in southwestern Nepal.
