Shandong plans to set up a rural information service network

Shandong province has initiated a provincial "Rural Market Information Service Action Plan" from this year on, aiming at putting an end to the backwardness of the rural market information service there in three years.

In the three years to come, Shandong provice will establish various rural market information publishing channels relying mainly on Internet while making radio, TV, telephone as well as newspaper and magazines subsidiary, form a rural information network system with provincial network platform as portal, municipal platforms as regional websites, information service stations in county and townships as supports, extending downward to most of the industrialized enterprises, farm produce wholesale markets, intermediary services agencies, most of the administrative villages as well as major businesses, and cultivate a team of rural information personnel, forming a rural market information service network featuring information gathering, processing, analysis, publishing as well as service.
