Ten key energy-saving projects break ground

The National Development and Reform Commission recently started ten key energy-saving projects including oil saving and substitute. Through implementing these ten projects China will be able to save about 240 million tons of coal equivalent during the eleventh Five-Year plan.

The ten key energy-saving projects also include coal-firing industrial boiler (kiln) reconstruction, regional combined heat & power production, remaining heat and pressure utilization, electrical machinery system energy saving, energy system optimization, building energy saving, green lighting, governmental institute energy saving and energy saving monitoring and technical service system project.
