Abdul'ahat Abdulrixit, vice- chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met Friday with visiting Mozambique Defense Minister Tobias Jaquim Dai.

Abdul'ahat Abdulrixit spoke highly of relations between China and Mozambique, and said the two countries have cooperated well in the political, economic and cultural fields since they forged diplomatic ties.

"China is ready to further the friendly cooperation with Mozambique in various fields," he said.

He also expressed appreciation for Mozambique's adherence to the one-China policy and for its support for China in international affairs.

Dai said Mozambique is willing to join hands with China in promoting relations between the two sides.

Dai arrived here Wednesday for a seven-day official goodwill visit as guest of Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan.
