Military officers from developing countries discuss security issues in BeijingAn international seminar on security issues concluded Friday in Beijing, with 86 senior military officers from 63 countries exchanging their views on coping with security challenges for developing countries. Zhao Gang, vice president of the National Defense University of the People's Liberation Army, said armed forces from developing countries all share common concerns in guaranteeing security for economic and social development. He said, all face common threats from traditional and nontraditional security fields. "Developing countries need to strengthen exchanges and cooperate with each other in military fields, so as to play a bigger role in safeguarding world peace and stability," said Zhao. All these foreign officers are from developing countries and have been here for accepting the training in the National Defense University.
