Wind power in Baicheng, NE China's Jilin
Photo taken on May 8, 2005 shows a wind power generating unit in Baicheng, northeast China's Jilin Province. Baicheng, a city with a climate of continental monsoon, is an ideal place for wind power generating for the northeast China power grid. The wind power generating units in the city are estimated to have a potential of working for more than 2,100 hours annually, with an annual power generation of 12 billion kilowatt-hours.
