Peruvian president leaves Beijing to visit ancient Chinese capitalPeruvian President Alejandro Toledo left Beijing on Saturday morning to visit Xi'an, ancient Chinese capital and current capital of northwest China 's Shaanxi Province. Toledo's six-day state visit to China started Wednesday afternoon. During his stay in Beijing, he met with Chinese President Hu Jintao, top legislator Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao. China and Peru signed seven documents to boost cooperation on transportation, traditional medicine, education and tourism after talks between Toledo and Hu Jintao in Beijing on Thursday.
