Peruvian president visits home of terra-cotta warriorsPeruvian President Alejandro Toledo Saturday arrived in Xi'an, capital of northwest China 's Shaanxi Province and home of terra-cotta warriors, to continue his six-day China tour. While meeting with Shaanxi provincial governor Chen Deming, Toledo said both Peru and China are countries with long history. He said he hopes Peru and Shaanxi province will cement cooperation in the exploration of oil, natural gas and farm produce, and also enhance personnel exchanges. Chen said Shaanxi and Peru enjoy huge cooperation potential in the fields of pharmacy and resource exploration. Toledo visited famous terra-cotta warriors Saturday afternoon, a site with thousands of life-sized soldiers and horses buried with Qinshihuang, or the first emperor of China.
