Second wife of former Bangladeshi president arrestedBidisha Ershad, second wife of former president of Bangladesh and chairman of Jatiya Party (National Party) Hussain Mohammed Ershad, was arrested Saturday from her husband's Baridhara residence in the capital city. Police arrested Bidisha in a case lodged by Ershad. The former president brought several allegations, like forgery and theft, against Bidisha, according to the official news agency BSS. Bidisha was kept at police station. She will be produced before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Dhaka Sunday. When the police raided her residence to arrest her, Bidisha threatened that she would commit suicide by jumping to the ground from a window of the top floor of the 6-storey building.
