Second phase of Lebanon's parliamentary election begins

The second phase of Lebanon's parliamentary election began in south Lebanon on Sunday.

A total of 665,385 eligible voters will elect 23 seats in the south's two constituencies.

The coalition of pro-Syrian Hezbollah and the Shiite movement Amal are believed to claim victory in the south.

Lebanon's four-part legislative election started in Beirut last Sunday.

The opposition party led by the son of Lebanon's former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri claimed a sweeping victory in Beirut, winning the capital's all 19 seats.
