The Organization of Islamic Conference has demanded that the US to bring those responsible for the desecration of the Koran at Guantanamo Bay to justice.

The Saudi Arabia-based Organization of Islamic Conference has demanded that the US government to bring those responsible for the desecration of the Koran at Guantanamo Bay to justice.

In a statement issued Sunday, the organization urged the US to interrogate the involved military personnel and insure it will never happen again.

The statement described the desecration as inhumane, saying it will only deepen the friction and limit the reconciliation between the Islamic world and the US.

Gulf Cooperation Council condemned the desecration on the same day and said it is unacceptable.
