Visitors to Chinese pavilion top two million at Aichi Expo

The Chinese pavilion at Aichi Expo greeted its 2,000,000th visitor at 11:20 on June 6, continuing its lead among those of foreign countries, as it has received the most visitors since its inauguration on March 25.

Covering an area of 1,620 square meters, the Chinese pavilion is the largest pavilion among those for participant countries. According to official with the 2005 World Expo, the pavilion has been receiving nearly 30, 000 visitors each day on average. One third of those who come to the Expo have paid a visit to the Chinese pavilion.

One of the most outstanding features of the Chinese pavilion is in the special weeks for China's various regions. After the "Week of Hangzhou" at the opening ceremony, there have been such activities for provinces and cities such as Anhui, Heilongjiang, Dalian, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Beijing, Hunan and Hainan, showcasing the diversified culture and arts of the Chinese people.
