Two trade fairs to stage in E.China province

East China's Zhejiang Province will host the seventh Zhejiang Investment and Trade Symposium ( ZJITS) and the 4th China International Consumer Goods Fair (CICGF) from June 8 to June 12 in Ningbo, a major harbor city.

According to sources with the organizing committee, the two trade fairs are expected to attract more than 60,000 businessmen from home and abroad. The fair will feature projects dealing with household textiles, garments, home appliances, light industrial products, crafts and foodstuffs.

Ningbo Vice Mayor Wu Heming said CICGF, the first trade fair jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the Zhejiang provincial government, will comprise more than 2,200 booths, including five free booths for Taiwan farm produce and byproducts to help Taiwan ease sales pressure.

A large number of international purchasers, including Carrefour, Group Auchan and Siemens, will have the opportunities to meet with Chinese enterprises.

During the previous symposiums and fairs, Zhejiang Province received a total of 38,530 overseas guests from more than 109 countries and regions, signing 2,144 contracts, involving 30 billion US dollars of investment.
