A selection of manuscripts from Chen Yun, a late Chinese leader and strong supporter of Deng Xiaoping's reform and opening-up policy, has been published to mark the 100th anniversary of his birth.
Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and standing committee member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, attended Tuesday's issuing ceremony for the book.
The calligraphy of Li Ruihuan, Jia's predecessor, was used for the cover of the book.
Zhang Siqing, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, addressed the ceremony and spoke highly of Chen's contribution to the birth of the nation.
"Chen has won esteem and love from the whole party, the whole army and the whole people," Zhang said.
The collection comprises Chen's 138 manuscripts, which include inscriptions, letters and telegraphs written throughout his life.
