Ministries' guidebook propping up export brands
font size

Chinese ministries including the Ministry of Commerce issued on June 7 a guidebook of a brand-building program for exports in the next few years.

Businesses which are picked out for their promising outlook will be given privileges such as imports and exports quota grants, government procurement orders, fiscal support and favorable insurance arrangements.

The next step will take care of private-funded and agricultural-product exporters.

The program, as it is expected, will lead to an array of internationally known Chinese name brands by 2010. 40 percent of Chinese exporters will possess their own brands by then taking more than 20 percent of the country's total exports.
