China provides 90 water pumps to CambodiaChina on Thursday provided 90 water pumps worth 2 million yuan (about 241,254 US dollars) to Cambodia. The water pumps, delivered to Cambodia's National Committee for Disaster Management, are the relief goods provided by China under the stipulations of the Exchange of Notes signed between China and Cambodia in November 2002. Speaking at the hand-over ceremony, Nhim Vanda, senior minister and first vice president of the National Committee for Disaster Management, thanked the Chinese government for its timely assistance. He said the pumps will be of much help in Cambodia's disaster management work. Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Hu Qianwen said China and Cambodia have traditional friendship and the Chinese government and people have made great efforts to strengthen the all-round cooperation with Cambodia and to promote Cambodia's economic and social development.
