font size

A westward strong rain belt that extends from southeast part of Sichuan Province eastwards to Zhejiang Province has brought strong rainfalls in Hunan and Guizhou provinces recently.

The Red Cross Society of China carried out relief work right after receiving report from the Red Cross Society of Hunan Province. The Society has dispatched relief material worth of RMB1.56 million yuan including tents, cotton quilts, clothes, disinfector, mineral water to Chongqing municipality, Hunan, Guizhou, Gansu provinces and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Red Cross societies in Hong Kong and Macao have shown concern to the disasters. The Red Cross Society of Macao has donated RMB100,000 yuan to the flood-hit areas.
