Ten Afghans killed in accident with US military vehicle in Afghanistan
font size

Ten Afghan local persons were killed Saturday when their bus had an accident with a US military vehicle in the country's southern province of Kandahar, a witness told Xinhua.

The collision occurred on the Kandahar-Spin Boldak highway near the Pakistani border and US troops immediately cordoned off the area.

It was not clear how the crash occurred, but an investigation was underway.

The United States and some other countries have deployed some 18,000 troops in Afghanistan for counter insurgency operations and to hunt down militants linked to ousted Taliban regime and Al-Qaeda.
