Media staff from ten countries jointly started shooting TV programs on Saturday in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in an effort to make its tourism resources and business opportunities better known to the world.

TV program makers from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and Republic of Korea

gathered in Nanning, capital of Guangxi and also the permanent venue for the China-ASEAN Expo, to report local sceneries, peculiar folk customs and economic environments.

The joint TV campaign is expected to help cement economic and cultural relations between China and other countries and produce more business cooperation, said Zhang Wenxue, vice chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Guangxi welcomes more participants in the China-ASEAN Expo, said Zheng Junjian, deputy secretary-general of the expo's secretariat, pledging that the fair will produce new business opportunities for ASEAN nations.

Since its debut last November, the expo's second fair, which will have 3,500 business booths in all, is scheduled to take place in mid-October this year.

ASEAN is composed of Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar and the Philippines.
