President Hu congratulates Putin on Russia's National Day

Chinese President Hu Jintao sent a congratulatory message on Sunday to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, on the occasion of Russia's National Day.

The National Day, also known as the Russia Day, falls on June 12. It is Russia's newest national holiday observed to commemorate the adoption in 1991 of the Declaration of Sovereignty of the Russian Federation.
