China reports 150 billion US dollars of foreign trade on hi-tech products

China imported and exported 146.72 billion US dollars of hi-tech products in the first five months this year, up 26.1 percent on a year-on-year base, according to latest statistics from the Ministry of Commerce.

The statistics shows that the import was 70.59 billion US dollars, up 19.4 percent and the export was 76.13 billion US dollars, up 33 percent.

The hi-tech products has accounted for 27.5 percent of the country's overall foreign trade during the period.

In May alone, China's foreign trade of hi-tech products was 29. 71 billion US dollars, up 25.3 percent over the same period last year.
